Research on Opening Performance of Metal Diaphragm in Double Pulse Solid Rocket Motor

Abstract In order to investigate the effect of different double-pulse solid rocket motor metal diaphragm configurations on opening performance, a compartment device is designed. A modified Johnson-Cook principal structure model and damage criterion are used simulate pressure-bearing forces based finite element software. obtain parameters J-C model, Quasi-static tensile tests at strain rates 10 −4 ~10 −1 s temperatures 300K~450K were carried out 2A12 aluminium alloy dumbbell-type specimens. By varying depth width indentations diaphragm, numerical simulation operation under action I II pulses also out. The results show that when indentation large, main factor affecting pressure diaphragm; decreases, influence more obvious.
